Sisimiut kommune
The town is the nothernmost Greenlandic town with a harbour, which remains ice free during winter, and the southernmost town to allow sledge riding with Greenlandic dogs. The Municipality of Sisimiut have 6.175 inhabitants of whom 5.400 live in Sisimiut. 130 live in the settlement of Itilleq, 125 live in Sarfannguaq and 520 live in Kangerlussuaq. Summer is the time for hikers and nature-lovers.
