Outfitter Abel Lynge
- Accomodation & BoatCharter

Mr. Abel Lynge was born in 1947 in a small settlement, Qullissat - today it is abandoned. He is Greenlandic and has lived his life different places in Greenland. He met a South Greenlandic woman - today his wife, settled in South Greenland and took over the youth hostel in Igaliku in 1988. Their children also participate in running the youth hostel in the summer time.
The family had great success with the youth hostel, and they have now many other activities in Igaliku and surroundings. In 1997 they built 6 log cabins with each 2 beds. In 1998 they bought a charter boat - Nuunu - it takes 12 passengers.
At the youth hostel they also have a cafeteria, where you can eat all meals a day. Also the local people in Igaliku use the cafeteria, and occasionally it is used for birthday parties, or other special events.
Abel Lynge and his family are the only that have tourist activities in Igaliku. They co-operate with different operators, and offer accommodation, food and activities. They have a car, which can be used to transport luggage and guests to and from their accommodation.

Igaliku is the former episcopal residence of the Norse, its well-preserved ruins being situated in the centre of the settlement. There are excellent hikes to be had in the local area.
